Sky Healthcare & Empowerment

“We can never get a re-creation of community and heal our society without giving our citizens a sense of belonging.” ―Patch Adams

CORE VALUES

As the health conditions of people in third-world nations worsen due to the continued rise in poverty and ignorance, a time must come when as a society, we should say we have had enough. We should say, we have had enough of our women dying during childbirth, enough to having our youths take to drugs and crime when all they need is a little empowerment mentally and socially; enough to seeing our men not being able to be breadwinners.

But we mustn’t just be mad at the problems, we should take coordinated steps towards finding lasting and empowering solutions to them even if that means contributing from our resources to render help to those in need.

It’s for these reasons that Sky Healthcare and Empowerment was born.

WHAT WE DO

We Fight Sickle-cell Anemia

We educate and equip communities to stop the spread of sickle cell anemia.

We Save Mothers & Children

RECENT PROJECT

Sky Healthcare & Empowerment Initiative (SHE-I) partnered with “She 4 She” initiative in visiting new mothers in labor on the 27th of May 2021 in commemoration of the National Children’s Day Celebrations. The new mothers were encouraged and given baby bundle packages. Also cash gifts were handed out t the mothers who expressed their heartfelt gratitude.

IMPACT STORIES

A brighter future for indigent children

Through our intervention, we have seen indigent children embrace education along with their farming skills. Some have gone ahead to acquire scholarships for further studies while the general life in the community has improved due to exposure to better ideas of the concept of life.

Musa has been a farmer since he was just 3

As an organization and in partnership with a globally acclaimed Tobacco company, we built a standard 12 classroom school for children at Kuchima village in the outskirt of Abuja, Nigeria. This is in a community where most kids are groomed to provide labor for farms.

UPCOMING PROJECTS

  • SKY HEALTHCARE & EMPOWERMENT INITIATIVE (SHE-I) in preparation of her maiden official launch has organized a healthcare outreach program titled “Grant a wish”.

In partnership with freewill donors termed “SKY AMBASSADORS” our healthcare project coordinator accompanied by our outreach team would be reaching out to patients in Maitama General Hospital who are unable to pay their bills in one way or the other. The “GRANT A WISH” project is going to be of a small to medium scale capacity but will be repeated several times in different hospitals all through the year.

  • SKY HEALTHCARE & EMPOWERMENT INITIATIVE (SHE-I) maiden launch and Sky Ambassador Award ceremony slated for the 26th of June, 2021
